Most gutter leaks start at a joint, where the rubber seal perishes, or at a failed bracket that lets the run sag so water pools and spills. We reseal or replace joints, refix brackets to the right fall, clear outlets and downpipes, and replace runs that have cracked, warped or come away from the wall.
Old cast iron gutters on Victorian terraces in St Albans and Watford rust and crack at the joints. Plastic on newer houses goes brittle and sags. A new uPVC system with new downpipes ends the drips, and pairs well with new fascias if the boards behind are rotten.
